The
Keith McHeffey Foundation was created to keep the spirit of Keith
McHeffey and countless other local victims of the terrorist attacks on
the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 alive through a variety of
charitable functions.
Keith
was a kind and giving person that will never be forgotten by his family
or friends. He spent his life giving of himself to others. Now, we are
giving back to the community in his good name. His life was a testament
on "how to live."
To
this end, the Foundation has created a permanent memorial to area
victims by renovating Memorial Field at Piping Rock Park in Rumson, NJ,
helping to complete the children's playground at Fair Haven Fields, and
most recently donating a digital scoreboard to Sickles School in Fair
Haven. The Foundation also awards annual scholarships in his name to
students at Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School and has assisted many
of the youth sports programs including Fair Haven, Rumson and Sea
Bright.
